I am Augustine Bangura, a dedicated and versatile IT professional with extensive experience spanning across multiple fields, including graphic design, web development, network infrastructure, data center management, and cybersecurity. With a career built on a strong foundation of technical expertise, I have developed a broad skill set that allows me to excel in various roles while delivering impactful outcomes.

Throughout my career, I have successfully managed and executed large-scale projects, including extensive cabling installations, data center operations, and cybersecurity analysis. My technical journey began in network systems and infrastructure, where I specialized in fiber optic and copper cabling, ensuring the seamless operation of critical communication networks. I’ve had the privilege of working on major data center projects, coordinating with cross-functional teams to install, test, and maintain cabling systems, ensuring optimal performance and minimal downtime.

In my role as a Data Center Technician with AZN Systems, I installed and maintained copper and fiber optic networks for hyperscale data centers, meeting demanding quality and speed requirements. My experience includes the use of advanced testing tools like OTDR and power meters to verify network performance and quickly resolve connectivity issues. I’m proud to have led teams in adhering to industry standards such as TIA/EIA and BICSI, ensuring that each project was completed with the highest level of precision.

Furthermore, I am expanding my expertise as a Security Operations Center (SOC) Analyst at BCR Cyber, where I monitor network traffic for suspicious activity using advanced Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) tools like Splunk and Palo Alto. My role involves analyzing security logs, responding to incidents, and collaborating with the SOC team to enhance the organization’s cybersecurity posture. I’m deeply committed to staying on top of the latest cyber threats and vulnerabilities, ensuring that the security measures I implement are always ahead of the curve.

In addition to my technical skills, I have a strong passion for mentoring and team leadership. Throughout my career, I have helped junior technicians build their skills in cabling standards, testing, and troubleshooting, improving team productivity and ensuring that high standards are maintained in all technical areas.
